Holy mackerel! Captain Colburn comes ashore

MIAMI - From WWE Superstars to top-tier celebs, you never know who (or what) you?re going to spot at Axxess. And tonight the surprises kept on coming as Captain Keith Colburn from the hit series Deadliest Catch pulled into port in Miami direct from the icy Bering Sea. (AXXESS PHOTOS ON FACEBOOK)

Standing in the ring at the Miami Convention Center, Captain Colburn cut as imposing a figure as he no doubt does in the wheelhouse of the F/V Wizard, the crab boat he has helmed for the past 14 years. During his time at Axxess, the Captain shared some salty tales of the sea, including a few tales of the harsh, and occasionally lethal, life on a crab boat that would even have The Undertaker rolling back his eyes in shock. He also kept the mood light, relaying stories about the camaraderie the men share aboard ship, trying to stay as positive as possible while performing one of the most treacherous jobs anyone can hold down. It all served as a great teaser for Deadliest Catch?s eighth season, which premieres Tuesday, April 10 on Discovery. (MORE ON "DEADLIEST CATCH")

After his interview, Captain Colburn was gracious enough to spend time with some loyal Deadliest Catch fans, signing autographs and memorabilia and posing for pictures. He even found time to share a backstage chat with Mick Foley, whose hardcore tales might even rival the Captain?s!

A fixture on Deadliest Catch since 2007, and a regular on all five seasons of the After the Catch miniseries, Captain Colburn is as tough as they come. Be sure to catch him in his element when Deadliest Catch returns to Discovery on Tuesday, April 10 and check out the series on Twitter at @DeadliestCatch. And also be sure to come down to Axxess and check out all the goings-on. As tonight?s encounter proved, at Axxess anything can happen! (GET TICKETS)
